There are many reasons why you can set up Chrome to get notifications, like meeting reminders from websites, apps, and extensions. This post will guide how to turn notifications on or off from all sites subscribed on Android, Computer, and iOS.

How To Allow or Block Notifications from all sites On Android
- Open the Chrome app from your Android phone or tablet,
- At the top right corner of the address bar, Tap on the three vertical dots.
- Click on the Settings toward the bottom.
- Scroll down and tap the Notifications option.
- At the top, tap on the Show Notification setting to switch on or off.
To allow quieter notification prompts, you need to tap the “Use quieter messaging” (blocks notification prompts from interrupting you) option. From now on, you won’t get any disturbing notifications after you disable multiple notifications from a site, while other users don’t like to allow notifications from a website.
Important: For instance, Suppose you allowed notifications for a site Chrome identified as offensive or misleading. The chrome app may block those notifications and force the site to request permission to send a web push notification to the subscriber. You can still change the setting to allow notifications later.

- Scroll down to click on the Notifications option.
- Decide to block or allow notifications: Note that:
- Allow or Block all: Means Turn on or off Sites can ask to send notifications.
- Block a site: Means “Block,” click Add. Enter the site and click Add or tap the three vertical dots to remove the block site.
- Allow a site: Means “Allow,” click Add. Enter the site and click Add or tap the three vertical dots to remove the added site.

Turns Notifications On or Off on iPhones or iPads
Next, turn notifications on or off on iPhone or iPad. However, Chrome doesn’t get a notifications option on your iPhone or iPad. If you see any alerts from Chrome, you may have the pop-ups option enabled.
To turn pop-ups off:
- Open the Chrome browser app on your iPhone or iPad,
- At the top right corner, click on the three vertical dots close to the address bar and then tap on the “Settings.”
- Tap Content settings Block Pop-ups.
